WASHINGTON, D.C. — The latest Covid-19 relief bill includes $10M for a gender studies program aimed at assigning each word in the English language appropriate gender, non-gender, and transgender-specific counterparts. Supporters insist the 5-year initiative would leverage the talents of the over 166,000 professionals with cultural & gender studies degrees.
The announcement was made immediately following the opening prayer for the new session of Congress by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), who ended his prayer with, “Amen and a-woman.”
If enacted, the number of English words currently in use is expected to rise from 171,476* to more than 15 million.
