Religious Services Now Permitted, After Identifying as “Social Justice Protests”

TAMPA, FL — It seems like just a few short weeks ago that Americans were getting arrested for the “crime” of gathering to worship in defiance of COVID-19 lockdown orders. But then, the political left decided that what our country REALLY needs is some good old fashioned political violence. And then all that “social distancing” stuff was right out the window. Well, for some people, at least…
You see, while the COVID-19 lockdown was, and is, a conspicuous violation of the First Amendment, people who go to church religiously (pun intended) don’t riot. They don’t attack police, loot stores, and/or burn down buildings when they don’t get their way. They’re not motivated to the point of violence, and they also don’t get to play the much-feared “racism” trump card. So to a large degree, politicians can abuse them however they want.
On the other hand, if you are, in fact, willing to attack police, loot stores, and/or burn down buildings, especially in the name of “social justice,” then you can pretty much do whatever you want. Despite our earlier article on this topic, it’s not because violent rioting instantly cures COVID-19. It’s not because it’s “right,” not because it’s “safe,” it’s because people are scared shitless of you. Churches, mosques, and synagogues around the country have noticed this astonishing hypocrisy, and are taking appropriate action.
For example, New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio attacked religious Jews in his city for gathering in groups of a few dozen for the purposes of a religious funeral. His argument was that this nefarious activity could spread the Chinese Coronavirus even further in his city. However, he was more than happy to jump on the social justice bandwagon when the riot came to his town, with both he and his family going so far as to participate in the protests themselves. And because of his “bail reform” laws, the handful of people who actually DID get arrested for rioting, assault, theft, and other malfeasance were right back on the street.
Despite hundreds of thousands of rioters on the streets across the country, leaders like DeBlasio continue to insist on restrictive “reopening” measures, as if the riots didn’t expose the coronavirus (over)reaction as a giant hoax. So, you can riot to your heart’s content, but you can’t take your heart to church…. seems legit!
In light of this ongoing enormous political hypocrisy, religious organizations across the country are replacing “religious observances” with “fullscale urban uprisings,” that happen to take place in pew-lined indoor buildings at 9AM on Sunday mornings and don’t actually involve violence, arson, assault, rape murder, theft, or an attempt to seize nationwide political power.
